WEMA SEPETU LAUNCHING HER OWN TV PROGRAM: IN MY SHOES

Wema Sepetu is one of the most popular actress from Tanzania. She has made a lot of movies in Tanzania which locally called Bongo movies. Today she gave a taste of her personal tv show which will be watched on Tanzanian channels. For others who are abroad might watch it online if she will be giving some of her clips on youtube. I hope that she will consider to make people subscribe to her Tv Show online. Wema Sepetu is one of the most hardworking woman in Tanzania. Being an actress and achieving what she has achieved so far is one of the dream come true to other actors too. She has managed to create her own film company by the name of Endless Fame whereby, they deal with film production.

This Tv Program is going to be one of the most watched because people are addicted to her moves. There is one thing that she has to polish on her program, language has to either be english or swahili. I bet there are lot of people who understand english but there are also very many who can not speak english. I think it will be wise of her to either use only english or swahili with translation text just incase she needs to attract her fans. She should either use English with swahili translation text or Swahili with english text. I wonder why many Tanzanians like to mix a lot of english while speaking swahili. Kenyans are 100 times better on this when they speak swahili its pure swahili. In my field at Cognitive Psychology (Neuroscience) we say that in order to communicate one has to find the common symbols, language or whatever according to the people one wishes to communicate with. You have to understand their personality and even social interest. If you want to communicate with people in Tanzania using Swahili language will make your message to be more remembered because that is the language people are using daily "Official language". It has been a language barrier and communication hard to decode because even some politicians mix english with swahili while talking to the local people. What their aim is? If they need their message to be heard and understood they have to use Swahili. Using one`s mother tongue will make the message last longer and understood. I do not want to go more on how to store information but before you communicate with people ask yourself what type of people am I communicating with? Do they understand the language am speaking? Which country am I in? Do they understand my accent? Do I have to speak faster or slower? Language is very important!
